It's not so black and white Connor. It's not that they will be either good or bad. The floor is last year's D. There's no way this D will be that bad, so the question is how much better. Just in lining up will be an improvement. You tend to be fairly pessimistic. About Juju, do you not take into account what he himself says? It sounds like his words and deeds in recruiting people to USC speaks more than any "insider' musings.

Ryan I know this will be a shock to your system but Alabama has some of the best beaches on earth! Perdido, Orange and Gulf Shore are consistently top tier beaches. Not everything about LA is everyone’s dream. Commiefornia is not the end all be all for a lot of people. The beautiful beaches of AL are so much better than those in SoCal. The SoCal beaches live on the reputation from the 60’s & 70’s There’s a reason for the saying “Southern Hospitality” while No One Ever says anything remotely like that about Commiefornia Congrats to the girls on the Natty 🎊 🎉 Fight On!

Less than 3 days after your most recent podcast, class of '25 qb Lewis scheduled a 2nd visit to IU for May 31st. The 5/10/25 episode of Locked On Big Ten stated '25 qb Lewis "reopened his (Lewis's) recruitment." Lewis has known new IU qb coach, T. Sunseri, since Julian was 8 yrs old.

Thanks for an informative show, guys! While we certainly need to be deeper, throwing bags of money at unproven (performance-wise) players shows desperation, which we ARE NOT…WE ARE SC! The pressure now falls directly on the coaches and whether they can actually teach them to be better. They seem to think they can and we just need to wait and see. As far as the Grinch thing, LR must have guaranteed him two years so he wouldn’t have to spend a lot of time looking for his DC…which would explain why he rolled the dice and stuck it out for two seasons (I see no other logical explanation for keeping him around for season two). At some point, LR’s word has to mean more than a single season…if he had given Grinch his word that he had two seasons and broken it, how would he ever convince anyone to come to USC?

The issue we’re running into is that just such a win now league. Even if we signed Harmon doesn’t make us 10x better. I agree we shouldn’t over pay players, especially one who’s not even a promised 1st round prospect. From this point on we just have to continue recruiting the dline so we won’t have to be in this situation again. DL is the only position we lack recruiting but we got young guys at every other position that’s going to make a huge impact in the future

Not desperate for an edge exactly, more the interior. What makes you say the staff is not "going out of there way" to get line help? More importantly, don't you guys think when every single board, and most of you commentators keep blasting out how desperate we are, it just ends up with us bidding against ourselves because the players check these boards out so they see the need and jack up their price. So we are doing a great job of undermining ourselves. Fight On!
